Badger Day Camp & Covid-19 Updates
The following protocols are based on guidance from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC), the New York State Department of Health, and the Westchester County Department of Health.
Camp Dates & Schedule 2021
June 28, 2021 – August 2o, 2021 (8 Weeks)
*Closed on July 5, 2021*
- Session A: June 28 – July 23 (Weeks 1-4)
- Sessions A & C: June 28 – August 6 (Weeks 1-6)
- Session B: July 26 – August 20 (Weeks 5-8)
- Sessions A & B: June 28- August 20 (Weeks 1-8)
Full Day and Mini Day Program
- Full Day Program (9 AM – 4 PM): All ages
- Counselor-In-Training Program (9 AM- 4 PM): 13 years old by 6/28/2021
- Leadership Program (9 AM- 4 PM): 15 years old by 6/28/2021
- Mini Day Program (9 AM – 2 PM): For children entering Pre-K in fall 2021 or younger (must be potty trained)
Covid-19 Protocols:
- Daily hot lunch will be provided
- All off-campus trips have been cancelled, including horseback riding and club getaway
- This summer, Badger Day Camp is closed to visitors
- Group size will be limited to 15 campers per group
- Campers and Counselors will remain with the same group throughout the session duration
- Badger has teamed up with a professional nursing service specializing in infectious diseases to provide additional training to our staff prior to opening camp and will be on-site throughout the duration of camp
- Campers and counselors will have their temperatures checked upon arrival
- Groups will have their own designated eating areas and changing areas
- There will be two bathrooms available on campus, each staffed with an attendant who will clean and disinfect the bathrooms after each use
- Hand-sanitization stations will be readily available throughout the entire campus
- Activity areas and equipment will be cleaned and disinfected in between groups
- A professional cleaning service will deep clean and sanitize the campus daily
- We are planning to offer transportation for summer 2021, if there are any changes made to the current guidelines or requirements, then Badger Day Camp will need to re-evaluate the bus transportation service offerings and will notify families accordingly.
